Forgotten – Our Beloved Companion Birds
“The
Good Lord Made Them All”
This
page is dedicated to the memory of all our avian family
members who have passed on to a better place. At Under My Wing Avian
Refuge, we
truly believe “They own our soul,” and we will forever carry their
memories in
our hearts.
We
want to cherish them and remember how much joy they brought
to our lives with their own unique personalities and also remember how
frail
some of them were. It is the memories of these
beloved creatures
that drive us to continue our mission to serve others of their kind who
are in
need.
We
do not personally know and rarely do we see any bird refuge,
rescue group, or sanctuary that posts information about what happens to
the
birds that pass away while in their care. We know only that they pass.
Under My
Wing Avian Refuge is prepared for this sorrowful occasion; we have our
deceased
birds cremated at Abbey Glen Memorial Park.
This is our last obligation – one that we fulfill with heartfelt love
and all
the respect our beloved companions deserve. Their ashes will
always remain
with us at Under My Wing Avian Refuge and their memories will always be
cherished
in our hearts. So it is with deep sorrow that we are parted, but also
with
great delight to know that we have served our charges to the
fullest with
dignity and respect.
Also,
we believe our birds will live for eternity with God after
they have taken their last breath, and that one day they will be
reunited with
their loving families, never again to be separated.
